On November 22, 2024, Birmingham City University hosted a Principal's Thanksgiving Dinner in Shanghai to express gratitude to domestic partner universities, educational institutions, various organizations, and distinguished alumni.
Li Xiang, the founder of X+Living Architecture and Interior Design, was invited to attend the event and delivered a speech as a representative of outstanding alumni. In 2009, Li Xiang graduated from the School of Architecture at Birmingham City University and returned to China to establish X+Living Architecture and Interior Design in 2011. After thirteen years of deep involvement in commercial design, her design works have won numerous global awards. She has been honored as Forbes's Designers with the Most Potential and has been invited to serve as a judge for several international professional competitions. At the event, Li Xiang was honored with the title of outstanding alumna in recognition of her exceptional achievements in her field and her ongoing support for her alma mater.
